Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Wiki
Create a custom Time Patroller, master skills and transformations, complete Parallel Quests, fight online raids, and explore every DLC chapter in Conton City.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Resources
Everything you need to build a Time Patroller, rank characters, farm Dragon Balls, and master every DLC in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Beginner Guide
Create a Time Patroller, pick a race, learn the combat fundamentals, and follow an efficient early-game route through the story, mentors, and Conton City activities. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 rewards a clear build direction from the very first hour.
Create Your Time Patroller and Choose a Race
Pick from Saiyan, Majin, Frieza Race, Namekian, Earthling, and DLC races. Each race has unique base stats and its own transformation line: Saiyans access Super Saiyan forms, Earthlings auto-charge Ki and boost basic attacks, Majins are naturally tanky, Namekians regenerate health, and the Frieza Race is the fastest mover.
Master Basic Combat and Stamina
Learn light and heavy strings, Vanishes, Just Guard, and stamina breaks. Stamina fuels Vanishes and evasives, while Ki powers supers and ultimates, so managing both is the core skill that separates new and veteran players.
Train Under Instructors
Approach masters like Goku, Vegeta, Cell, and Beerus in Conton City and complete their lesson chains. Finishing an instructor's lessons unlocks their skills, Super Souls, and customization options for your Time Patroller.
Progress the Main Story and Open Conton City
Push the main story to unlock Parallel Quests, Expert Missions, raids, and hub activities. Story progress also opens new mentors, the Dragon Ball Pedestal, and the QQ Bang and mixing shops.
Pick Your First Build Direction
Commit attribute points to one damage type early, Ki Blast Super, Strike Super, or Basic Attack, instead of spreading them evenly. A focused build clears Parallel Quests faster and is easy to fine-tune once you understand the game.
Quick Tips
- Equip a charge skill as soon as one is unlocked so Ki never bottlenecks your supers.
- Save your attribute points for a focused stat; Shenron can fully respec you later.
- Complete every instructor lesson to permanently unlock their skills and Super Souls.
- Raise friendship with key mentors to unlock race-specific rewards like Super Saiyan God.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Characters Tier List
Ranking the strongest playable characters for Parallel Quests, Expert Missions, raids, and PvP. Top picks combine long reach, combo potential, forgiving supers, and high ultimate damage, while a well-built custom Time Patroller can outclass any preset at endgame.
Top Tier
The best all-rounders for raids and endgame PvE: huge ultimate damage, safe supers, and strong neutral tools.
Strong All-Round
Reliable across every mode with great combo routes and high-damage Awoken Skills.
Solid Niche
Strong in specific matchups and modes, often chosen for style or specific raid roles.
Beginner & Style
Fun and accessible early picks that get outclassed by S and A tier characters at endgame.
A custom Time Patroller with a focused build, a good QQ Bang, and the right Awoken Skill can out-damage every preset character on this list.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Best Builds and QQ Bangs
Recommended attribute spreads, Awoken Skills, Super Souls, and QQ Bangs for every race and playstyle. Cover Ki Blast, Strike, hybrid, raid support, and PvP builds, each with a clear focus and known weaknesses.
Ki Blast Saiyan
Max Ki Blast Super
Stack Ki Blast Super, run Super Saiyan Blue or Ultra Instinct, and spam tracking beam ultimates. The strongest general-purpose PvE damage build.
Strike Martial Artist
Max Strike Super & Basic Attack
Earthling or Majin with Potential Unleashed, high stamina, and relentless melee plus stamina-break combos. Dominates close-range PvP.
Hybrid Balanced
Split Ki Blast & Strike
A forgiving split build for players still choosing a direction. Works in most Parallel Quests while you learn what you enjoy.
Raid Support Tank
Max Health & Stamina
Majin or Namekian with Super Guard, Energy Zone, and a team-healing Super Soul. Keeps escorts and allies alive through raid hazards.
PvP Zoner
Speed & Ki Blast
Frieza Race built for movement and ranged supers, using speed to punish approaches and whiff-punish with beam supers.
Glass Cannon
Max single damage stat
All-in offense paired with the Super Soul that trades defense for raw damage. High risk, but deletes stamina-broken bosses.
QQ Bangs
What a QQ Bang Does
A QQ Bang adds stat modifiers on top of your attributes and clothing. A perfect QQ Bang can add up to +5 to a key stat like Ki Blast Super or Strike Super.
Aim for One Main Stat
Craft until your primary damage stat is strongly positive, with no Ki or stamina penalty. Even a mixed QQ Bang is a big upgrade over no QQ Bang at all.
Mixing for Better Rolls
Combine higher-star clothing with matching materials and Super Mix Capsules at the QQ Bang shop to raise the ceiling on your rolls.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Dragon Balls and Shenron Wishes
Use fast Time Patroller routes to collect all seven Dragon Balls, then spend each Shenron summon on characters, skills, transformations, cosmetics, levels, or resources.
Fast Dragon Ball Farming Route
Prepare a fast damage loadout
Equip one quick Super Attack, one strong Ultimate Attack, a charge skill, and enough stamina to avoid losing time to enemy pressure.
Run PQ 23 and defeat Frieza under three minutes
Clear the short opening fight immediately to trigger the Ultimate Finish route on The Explosion of Namek.
Defeat all three Time Patrollers
Focus one Patroller at a time. Each defeated Patroller can drop a Dragon Ball key item, so a single run can yield more than one ball.

A Dragon Ball appears as a Key Item reward during the Patroller fight. Complete the mission and repeat until you hold all seven.
Use alternative routes when needed
PQ 4 offers an early-game Patroller fight, while PQ 79 adds a longer Great Ape route with another three-Patroller finish.
